How to View Support Roles

Note: Individual users’ security profiles control the visibility of sensitive information. Therefore, you may not have access to (all) the information within this Job Aid. Remember that some changes may require the approval of an HR Partner or other area to complete the process.  

  • Log in to your Workday account.  

  • Click the global navigation Menu icon at the top left home page to access applications and shortcuts.  The Search Box at the middle of the home page makes it easy to search people, tasks, reports, and business data you would like to navigate to.

OVERVIEW: 

Many department administrators hold Workday Security Roles (or “support roles”) which allows them to assist employees in specific ways. 

STEPS: 

  1. Login 

Sign in to the Workday link here. 

  1. Profile 

In the upper right of Workday, select the Profile icon, then the View Profile button.

  1. Action 

Select Action, then Security Profile, and then View Support Roles.

  1. Support Roles 

Scroll through the Assignable Roles column until the desired role is found.  The Worker column will include the name of the person with the assigned role.

  1. Contact 

Select the ellipsis (three dots) icon next to the Worker's name.  This will open a window with their contact information.
