Note: Individual users’ security profiles control the visibility of sensitive information. Therefore, you may not have access to (all) the information within this Job Aid. Remember that some changes may require the approval of an HR Partner or other area to complete the process. 

  • Click the global navigation Menu icon at the top left home page to access applications and shortcuts. The Search Box at the middle of the home page makes it easy to search people, tasks, reports, and business data you would like to navigate to.

OVERVIEW:

This job aid demonstrates the setup of email notifications for Business Processes in Workday.

Note: There are three settings for email notifications.

  • Daily (sends a daily summary of inbox items) 
  • Immediately (sends inbox items to email immediately) 
  • Mute (Does not send email notifications of Inbox items)

STEPS:

  1. Option 1 - In the search box type Change Preference.

  1. Option 2 - Navigate from the Home page to your profile by clicking the picture (picture if you have set it up) or icon to the right of the inbox.

  1. Click the View Profile Button.

  1. Click the Actions Button

  1. Scroll down to Preferences.
  1. Select Edit Preferences.

  1. Then on the Edit Preferences screen.

  1. Scroll down to the channel.
  1. Change the Frequency settings to Daily, Immediately, or Mute as you prefer for each Notification type e.g. approvals.

Note: You can also update the Mobile Push Notification.

  1. Under Parent Notification Type: Business Processes leave Custom Business Process Notifications Frequency as immediately.
