  • Log in to your Workday account.  

  • Click the global navigation Menu icon at the top left home page to access applications and shortcuts.  The Search Box at the middle of the home page makes it easy to search people, tasks, reports, and business data you would like to navigate to.

OVERVIEW:

 

This job aid demonstrates how Internal and external candidates can search and apply for jobs with ease.  

 

STEPS:

 

  1. Click on Jobs Hub

Find Jobs and Apply

Internal candidates can use their worker profile summary in Workday to find jobs within their company.

Apply from within Workday (Internal Candidate)

1.      Navigate to the Browse Jobs.

2.      Select the position for which you want to apply.

  1. Select Apply. An internal candidate’s application auto-populates with their worker profile summary and allows an applicant to attach a resume or cover letter.

4.      Respond to the questionnaires shown, as applicable.

5.      Select Submit.

 

Apply from an External Job Posting Site (External Candidate)

1.      Navigate to the company’s external career site. https://cityofgainesville.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/Careers

2.      Sign into your candidate account or create one, as applicable.

3.      If needed, navigate to the job search page by selecting the logo in the page header.

4.      Search for and select the job for which you are applying, as shown in the image below.

5. Select Apply

6.      If you select Apply, you can attach your resume or cover letter. Your application automatically populates with the resume details you provided, including name and location.

7.      Update or add information on the application.

8.      Select Next. Add any experience, education, or other pertinent details, including social media links.

9.      Select Next. Answer the application questions.

10.  Select Next. Agree to the terms and conditions, then select Next.

11.  Review your application and select Submit. A status notification appears, confirming your submission.

Review Job Applications

Review Job Applications as an External Candidate

As an external candidate:

1.    Sign into your Candidate Home account. You can review all your submitted applications.

  1. Select a specific application to review the status or any pending application tasks.
