- Log in to your Workday account.
- Click the Global Navigation Menu icon at the top left of the home page to access shortcuts, saved content, and add/edit /view menu categories that automatically sort and categorize the navigation items into user-centric groups.
- The Search Box in the center of the home page lets you quickly search for people, tasks, reports, and business data you want to navigate.

Note: Changes may require the approval of Payroll, Benefits, HR Partner, or other areas before the process is completed. Also, changes to your current benefit elections are only available during Open Enrollment, a qualifying event, or the conclusion of an employee’s initial probation period.

- When the Benefits and Pay menu opens, click Benefit Elections, then Change Benefits

- Select the Benefits option from the Change Benefits menu that lists nine Change Reasons. From this menu, select the Change Reason radio button for PCLB Enrollment.

- After selecting PCLB Enrollment, you will be prompted to enter a Benefit Event Date. Enter the beginning of the year or the beginning of the next pay period after your probation ends. You may enter a comment, but it is not a required field.

- After submitting this change, you will see a box that says that you have submitted your request. Next, you will click the blue Open button.

- After clicking the Open button, you will see the Change Benefit Elections page. From this page, you will click the Let’s Get Started button.

- After clicking the Let’s Get Started button, you will see the PCLB Enrollment page. Below the Additional Benefits section, and below the Personal Critical Leave Bank (PCLB) icon, is the word Enroll. Click Enroll.

- After clicking Enroll, you will see the Personal Critical Leave Bank (PCLB) page. Look at the Plans Available section. This section allows you to Select a plan or Waive to opt out of PCLB. After making your selection, click the orange Confirm and Continue button.

- When you choose the Select option, you will see the Personal Critical Leave Bank (PCLB) – City of Gainesville page. View the Coverage menu to select the coverage that you would like for this plan. From this menu, you have several options to choose from:1 hour per pay, 2 hours per pay, or 3 hours per pay. Select the radio button next to the number of hours that you wish to contribute to your PCLB.
- After making your selection, click Save at the bottom of the page.

- After clicking Save, you will return to the PCLB Enrollment page. On this page, you will see the changes made under the Additional Benefits section. Next, click the Review and Sign button.


- Review your changes and, if all is correct, scroll to the bottom of the page Click the I Accept box, then click Submit. If you need to make changes, click Cancel and start over.


- After you click Submit, the next screen you will see will say Submitted! Click on view 2025 benefits statement. Your statement will be displayed. Click on the print button to get a copy of your choice. The document is exported, and you can download and save it or click Done.
